Underwater headphone options?

I have the original blue and have been advised to switch to the newer yellow but am wondering how much better the gray ghost are?

If I go with gray ghost should I get the detachable setup which are $40.00 more or just get them hard wired since I cant see any reason to ever detach them if gray ghost are as good as I hear they are?
