I'm no diver but I have the Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II. It's good for 200 depth and does pick up small gold items. Good luck in your choice.

underwater detectors that have the power or will perform like your Aquapulse. They are just not being made.

Garrett's Sea Hunter MK II maybe ?? But as your aware of, the deeper you go, the more problems they are getting the unit to operate properly, also the power level is just a dab compared to your Aq.

You have the most powerful unit there is out there for diving. Best just purchase another. :)

Have a nice day

Mr. B is right, Aquasound is diffinately the top salt water detector out there...I wish i could have used it on my beaches but there too highly black sand mineralized.

I still might buy one just to have it for the tropical shell beachs when i vacation in florida.

The Aquapulse is a PI detector, high powered, designed for diving. It was original designed for Mel Fisher by Eric Foster, for his treasure hunts. Another company is making them and shipping them to the US.

The Aquasound is a TR discriminating unit, I believe the circuit was designed by Nautilus detector company in N. Carolina.

My diving days had come to an end by the time I was into metal detecting.

To top it all off, It would require a serious ammount of lead weight just to get me below the surface.
