Underwater Cameras

If you use an underwater camera tell me which one you have, what you think about it, and if anyone has had any problems with them is salt water.

Thanks

You can buy at Wal Mart for around 300.00. I have had this one for over a year now. It has seen saltwater, river water 70 degree and colder and I have had no problems with leaking or anything. It has plenty of settings from Macro to underwater movies. Good for all photo ops. you may get .Here are a few sample pics. from my files.

These were set on Auto

I forgot to set the underwater setting this was shot on the standard setting so the lighting is off, but will give you an Ideal what the camera can do. I took this on my trip last week to Panama City Beach. Click on site below then click on play.

I use an Olympus 850SW It takes awesome pics and can be had for around $200, I think they have even made a better model since I bought mine last year. Great camera though, waterproof, shockproof, and cold proof.

My OLYMPUS 770sw, Just crapped out on me last week and I used it in fresh water!!

Have been waiting for this to happen 2 years now. Many of us had this camera, so it's no surprise. All failed!

A smart looter said....... (GH), Take your photos at home! not the beach.

Will be looking into the Fuji . And may buy @ COSTCO, 90 return on all camera buys.

I don't know if mine is ok to use in salt water. But its nice icefishing in the winter. Last winter I bought a refurbished MarCum VS 350. Same warranty as new ones. In the land of icefishing Marcum is a top of the line underwater camera. If you want to read about fishremen who use marcum camera's go to this forum site and search Marcum. This is the best icefishing site online, has forums for everystate that gets ice. To search you may have to register, not sure.

[size=large]I also have the Pentax Optio W30 camera and really like it. I haven't had a chance to use it in the water yet, but it works just great for everything else. I purchased mine on line and got a camera case, battery charger, cleaning kit and some other stuff with it for only $124.95 at Fotoconnection.com. This camera is well worth the price for all the functions it has and performs well and is easy to use.

[size=large]Your youtube link doesn't work. It goes to the login page rather than your video. Do you have another link?

Thanks for all the input guys, I am leaning toward the Tough 8000 because of the depth rating, should be OK for shallow scuba diving. I know its fairly new but has anyone used it yet?
