pennies

FOUND 2QUARTERS 3PENNIES & 1DIME LAST WEDNESDAY WHILE GOING TO THE DOCTOR WITH CHRIS. WENT TO ANOTHER DOCTOR TODAY AND AGAIN ON THE WAY HOME STOPPED AT AN OLD TRAIN STOP THAT HASN'T BEEN USED SINCE BACK IN THE 40'S..ANY WAY THE ONLY THING THAT WAS LEFT WAS A JOT'EM DOWN STORE IN 1961,WHEN I BOUGHT SODAS THERE. (JOT'EM DOWN = GO ON CREDIT FOR EVERYTHING AND PAY AT THE END OF THE MONTH OR AT HARVEST TIME) THERE IS A 115KV LINE GOING DIRECTLY OVER THE LOCATION WHERE THE STORE BUILDING WAS.MY EXPII WAS GOING CRAZY BUT I FOUND A "1937" WHEATIE IN THE FEW MINUTES I HUNTED TODAY..I HOPE THE HIGH VOLTAGE HAS KEPT EVERYONE AWAY..SURE PLAN TO GO BACK THE FIRST CHANCE I GET..
GOD BLESS...HENRY

trying another detector there ? Dont you have a second one - maybe it wont react the same & will work. I have found this several times, Steve in so az

The Exp II should actually do pretty well in those conditions. I've hunted near power lines too...

-Noise cancel first
-Lower your sensitivity manually and keep lowering it until the machine stabilizes. Then go a click or so up again so it's just on the edge of being unstable.
-Then make sure you noise cancel again

As you hunt around, you may have areas where it gets more unstable than others (just depends on where you're standing). Just noise cancel anytime the machine starts acting up. Anytime you adjust your sensitivity, noise cancel again.

Good Luck!

have one volley ball court I hae yet to be able to hunt without interruption - and I've used about 3 different machines. They just go nuts. Overhead lines and also some underground lines make it near impossible to do a thorough job hunting the area. Saw another detectorist try his luck with yet another (older) detector and he wasn't having much luck either.

Guess will have to wait for the next black out like we had a few years ago to hit that area proper LOL.

Congrats on the finds - especially the Wheatie, Henry
