I was down to just 2 more private messages I could store. So I went to delete them all but couldn't delete Bill's messages. I miss that guy...
 
He was a key person for metal detecting. He wrote many, many articles and performed field tests for many of the large metal detecting manufacturers. His health for his last two years was hell with multiple trips to the hospital. May he RIP!
 
Only a couple dozen miles seperated us and I never managed to drop by and meet the man.
Sent quite a few p.m.s to each other as we hunted many of the same sites.
The things you wish you had done in life carry far more weight as a person gets older it seems.

Yup, I miss him too. He helped everyone on this forum that asked. RIP
 
Yes, he said it like it was. It was good to hear a man speak his mind. Yet he talked to each of us like he was a close and personal friend. I don't think he was always politically correct. He wasn't anybodies puppet.

I still have some of his post.
