As with many acts...you can read into them. There is no mention of metal detectors. Archaeological significant find? There is no definition? But.....where this will go? Time will tell.
 
Yeah I noticed that also but I signed the petition against it anyway. :) Seems it's more about removing artifacts from Indian land. Oregon is a pretty free wheeling state. They don't ban much of anything here.
