UNCHAIN YOUR DETECTOR

I picked up a Belkin FM Transmitter model # F8V3080, which is digital and covers the FM spectrum from 88.1 to 107.9, and as every increment on the scale is a transmit point, it does not limit you to three or four presets. It uses two AAA batteries and weighs three or four ounces at the most. My headset is a Sony Walkman SRF-HM33,[also uses two AAA batteries] and are also digital. The headset antennae must be placed in the DX position. I have used this setup with a CZ, C$, EXCEL, EDGE and Ace 250 and it caused no interference with any of the detectors. With it being digital there are no dials to bump, and once you try it, you will never look back. These came from Amazon, but I know various chain stores carry them or similar products. But these two products I give five stars!

I thought about trying something like this before. How did you mount the xmtr on your detector. It looks like using padded double sided tape would work.

BTW, most of the reviews on Amazon panned this product. I realize they were looking to reproduce music and you're only looking to reproduce beeps which could account for their opinions.

I just use a rubber band to mount it on the arm-piece. I thought about sticky backed velcro, but if I want to replace the batteries or change detectors, that could leave adhesive on things. A rubber-band is instant and no mess.
