Umax coil question

Why do the Tesoro umax coils have a 5 pin plug but only have 4 wires ?

umax coils have 5 pin connectors and HOT coils have 4 pin connectors.
This prevents connecting a umax coil to a HOT detector and a HOT coil to a umax detector.
All of the coils use 4 wires.

Nothing special to use only some pins, minelab Explorer and Etrac use 5 pin connector, but inside only 4 wires. Very interesting if Umax coil connect on Hot coils detector, what would happen?
