Ultra Swingy Thing?

New member
Anybody try the newer ultra swingy thing yet ? its about 50-60 dollars with shipping from the maker Doc's? has a center back strap and two padded shoulder straps.Thinking of getting one to swing my whites M6.

I have not tried that model, I have tried the other Detector strap on the market. It took pressure off of my bad elbow, but killed my neck and shoulders! I just started using the SVL Limbsaver Comfort-Tech Metal Detector Sling! I think it may be the answer to my shoulder and arm problems. They are new to the market and 29.95 MSRP, So far I love mine. I got the original for my wife but she didn't like it. She ended up cobbling something together from military surplus straps that worked better for her.

I use it with my 3030. Makes a world of difference taking the weight off. Very well made. The bungee length is easily adjustable in the bracket.

Had Doc's original but didn't care for it, my biggest problem was changing from one detector to another, at the time I had like 5 detectors. So I made my own and now changing detectors couldn't get any easier, unhook and hook.

I have the limbsaver, but I may try Doc's since it has two shoulder straps. I wish they made them with a snap on finds bag on the shoulder strap. My limbsaver has some holes where I tie my garrett finds pouch to and it works somewhat, but I have spilled my targets on two occasions. I may put some grommets in the top of my bag and try that or some snaps. You can get a kit pretty cheap.

I also use the swinging thing with a CTX or 705. I have mine hooked to a Condor molle battle belt/shoulder strap combo. Really like it.

Going from one detector to another takes under a minute.

Work great. Have bursitis and it sure keeps me in the field longer. I really like mine.
