Hi,has anyone tried a ultra sonic cleaner on coins,they don't seem to sell the rock cleaners in the uk

Try a lapidary shop over there. A coin tumbler is nothing more than a rock tumbler.

I purchased a Chinese made ultrasonic cleaner from this company: http://store.sra-solder.com/

It sports a 70 watt ultrasonic generator, with a 60 watt heater. It has a stainless steel basket, but the SS container is fixed. Which means it's a little difficult to fill, and empty. It does clean jewelry, and silver coins very well. However, for clad coins, and similar relics, it just isn't as good as a good tumbler.
