In the water at 7:30 this morning for a 4 hour spin. First target, eye find, was a pair of Oakley c-wire sunglasses laying on the bottom. They are in excellent condition and retail for around a hundred bucks:). Hit the usual coins($1.17), sinkers, junk and trash like the exacto knife. Found the 375,1.9g ( id from hallmarks...UK, 9k, Birmingham, 1950) ring in the first hour. Ruby or garnet:shrug:??? with diamonds, Hope its a ruby, it would be the first that I've found. See what the jeweler says later this week. GL ALL

Love those old rings!! Very Nice!

Cool ring! I don't know how many sunglasses:cool: I've found over the years! I used to keep them but I usually junk them now if they are not good quality! Congrats on those finds!!:clapping:

That old gold with hallmarks like those are great finds! :clapping: Let us know if you get a chance to have that red stone evaluated...

*Yeah OBN.. I like the old ones too. I like the way the UK makes their jewelry so identifiable, even going back hundreds of years, by the required hallmarks. It would have been nice if the US had done the same..........Love knowing the history of finds.

*BHpa...Yep Xcal. second gold ring for "Tiffany," (Xcal's new moniker since the first was a T&Co ring) I really like this Xcal 1000, it runs smooth as butter, I can cover more ground in less time because I'm not digging every target,( bobby pins, crab trap pieces ), like I did with the PI, and with the plugger shaft it just seems so effortless to move the coil around.
Thanks TXP, I will try...looking forward to a good summer.

*GS..I have a bin full of cheap sunglasses, and another one with the good ones. If you get them b4 they spend too much time on the bottom getting the lens scratched up by the sand, They make great, " Here you go, thanks," tips and gifts.

*Mud..I'm betting ruby, find out later today.

*CJ...thanks, You and the DF were my h2o hunting inspiration.
