HELP, I HAVE AN ISSUE!!!...... broke out my Garrett 1350 GTA for some 'swinging' tomorrow, and I discovered some cracks in the bottom of my 7"x10" DD searchcoil...a replacement is $80 bucks .A coil cover that size is $13 bucks, I need a cover for my 10"x14" DD coil too, same price $13 bucks online, BUT $28 BUCKS SHIPPING FOR $26 IN COIL COVERS???
....SO, I have a question:I think it was Martin (Senior Seeker) that told me a while ago, I can get the same results with a tube of clear silicone, applied to the bottom, and it won't alter the performance of the coil....Opinions???Thanks, Steve.
