Went out today ace acted a little better. Could pinpoint some. had a friend try his ace on the same target. He has a stock coil, i have the big coil. his did not react the same way as mine. must be the big coil. also, i usually lay the coil down by the hole i'm digging so i can check each handful of dirt. had the coil about 6 inches from the hole, and each time i jabbed my probe in the ground, detector would sound off. so it must be a ground balance issue. thanks for the advice.
