U.S. coin Question

What year was it that they changes the U.S. Quarter from all silver to what it is today?? I was under the impression it was around 1974,,..and the penny from all copper,,, and dime..??

Clad's began in 1965
 
pre-1965 silver coins were 90% silver and 10% copper (aka coin silver). Half dollars were 40% silver from 1965 thru 1969 then in 1970 they switched to clad as well.

1982 was the last year of copper cents. The ones after that are copper coated zinc.
 
In 1982 there were some zincolns and from what I read if you find them they are worth a little bit of $. 1970 silver dollars were 40% silver as well (I believe).
