I found this a few years back and decided to scan this little coin with the Equinox....I am glad I did :) If you are not investigating a TID of 16 / 17 your gonna miss it. Best of luck in the field.

The 3-Cent Silver piece was produced by the U.S. Mint from 1851 to 1873 in very limited quantities. This coin has an interesting history, and came about due to the lowering of postage rates from five cents to three cents in 1851. The 3-Cent silver piece was initially produced with 75 percent silver and 25 percent copper

A Palladium wedding band also read at a solid 16.
Palladium is trending about $100/oz more than Platinum!

That's just slightly under my half dime at 19/20 tid thanks for the info. If you want to see low try a 3 cent nickle:rolleyes:

I was going to say a half dime probably about the same I will try my equinox on the one I just found with my Deus..

Thanks a bunch for sharing! I have never found one but a buddy I hunt with has so I know they're around. I have noticed that buttons show up with the same vdi and I like to dig those so I should be all set. Have a good one.
