Typical WV. finds.

I had a couple good hunts. I rarely get to MD working 6 - 10 hour days and I am always working on the house we bought 3 months ago. Yea, a fixer upper. One hunt was in a park and the other was at an old home site. I found a lot of old iron thingies. Square nails are a menus.

I like the hitching ring. I find about 5 to 10 miner's tags a year. I think I find a brass valve on every other hunt. They are quite ornate. I thought about making a display for them. Also bullet casings pocket watch parts and mason jar lids. All typical stuff around here. Oh yea, plenty of hot rocks!

I am always eye balling marbles. Many times I dig them up with coins. I did good this time around. One clay marble and a few old glass ones. Some marbles bring big bucks. WV. is a hot spot for rare marbles with all the glass factories we had around here.

Here is the coin stuff I found and one junk ring. Man, is that typical. Also I found 4 buttons which I know nothing about and 7 wheat's:1918,1918,1920,1928,1941,1950,1954.

No silver, but I am happy with the 1892 IH even if it is in bad shape.

I am having fun with my new camera a Canon s10 I S. 20 :1 optical zoom. I haven't got it figured out yet. That is going to take a while. This guy was lurking near by.

Nice finds John ! I was just thinking the other day while reading post on here that I haven't heard anything out of you in awhile. Glad to see you got out for a hunt.
