Type 1 type 2 Equinox?

Are there type 1 and type 2 Equinox models?
I ask because I’d like to buy a cover set but type 1 or type 2 is an option.
My used Equinox should arrive today or tomorrow.
Is there an obvious way to tell the difference?

Maybe they mean Equinox 600 vs 800. The 600 has only 2 buttons on the left while the 800 also has 2 buttons on the right, which would mean a different cover for the 600 vs. the 800.

I should add that the cover for my E600 contains opening for buttons on both sides. Doc's detecting supplies does not make separate covers for the 600 and the 800.

The seller may be referring to that.

Maybe he is referring to the first set of Equinox's without the update & the one's shipped with the update?
