While hunting recently in my hometown of Tylertown Ms got a great signal under a old cedar tree with my MPX after digging 10 ins.i came out with a cool 1889 5dol gold peice 7 years ago I found an 1881 5dol.gold peice under the same tree and I know I searched the area very well after finding the first one all I can figure is the MPX just goes deeper than my tesoro silver sabre it looks like it is gonna be a very good deep detector

I think I would be doing some excavation around that tree.......
 
Great find of the gold piece. Go back and really spend some time around that tree. There could be yet some coins lurking beneath the sod. Best of Luck to you and the GPX.
