Mr. Bill,

How does the Pirate work in a salt water environment? Is it only a fresh water detector?

Thanks, Bill T.

Salt water could be a iffiy thing. A lot depends on where, when, and who.

Salt beach is no problem. Wet salt sand ?? and the salt water ??????

Without a sensitivity adjustment, hunting in the salt water will be touch & go. Some places will work fine, some won't.

The Pirate was not meant to replace existing salt detectors. It's an inexpensive, once in a while, salt water hunter. If your serious about salt water hunting you will need to move up a notch or so.
