So tesoro was started in 1980 this year marks 30 years. What are the possibilites of seeing an anniversery machine? I would love to see a new tid machine with more horse power with manual ground balance in all metal& disc. What would be on your wish list?

Hi Jay

I hope for Tesoro's sake that they will come up with something new and worthy in that dept. too. I would gladly put out good money for one if the new machine had a ground balance that worked in both all-metal and Disc modes. and had a readable meter. And they could keep all the adjustments in analoge knob style which I happen to understand and prefer. Keep your fingers crossed.

I don't have the frame of reference that some of you have because this is just my third season coming up. But when I moved up from an ACE 250 I had many choices. I want to check out fur trade sites, so I chose the Tejon because of its excellent reputation and depth. I look at Tesoro prices and they are bargains compared to other brand lines. I also don't want to take a computer programing night class to make my detector function. Maybe it is time for Tesoro to come out with something for you long time hobbyists. But from a relative newcomers perspective, I see this. The Tesoro line packs a punch, is simple to use, light weight, and is high value considering what you get, for what you pay. And that life time warranty is the candle on the cake.
