WHAT YOU GUYS THINK WITH THE CIBOLA USING A 8" D.D.WIDESCAN CONCENTRIC COIL VS. 9X8 " STOCK COIL?:argue:

There are two eight in coils available for the Cibola: an 8 inch widescan (dd) and an 8 inch concentric. Since you use both terms in the question, I am not sure which coil you are looking at.

So, my opinion:
-unless you know you are nearly always hunt highly mineralized soil, there is not a lot of reasons to go to the 8 inch widescan (dd).
-I don't think you will find much difference between the 8 inch concentric and the standard 9x8 coil, so I'd save the money and stay with the standard coil.

If you are looking for a second coil, the 5.75 inch concentric is an excellent coil to have on hand.
Cheers,
tvr

I'll second the vote for the 5.75 concentric. I see minimal difference with it and the 9x8 on depth, great target separation in trashy areas and being non spoked it doesn't get hung up if you hunt in dense brush.
