:twodetecting: F75 LTD vs T2 LTD :argue:

With these two souped up machines soon coming to the market, both upgraded with faster microprocessors and updated DSP software, if you were going to purchase one, which one would you choose and why ??

Well taking a man at his word this is a quote from Mike Scott on the T2 LTD brochure: " makes the T2 LTD the best detector ever made. It will out-hunt any other detector."

Disclaimer(just like Brad:)) The above quote was not taken out of context, nor edited in order to obscure any other meaning, and was presented in the above form 'cause I'm just too dang lazy to re-type the whole brochure!

Therefore based on Mike Scott's statement the T2 LTD is better than any other detector ever made which would include the F75 LTD. I'd buy the T2 LTD if'n I were gonna whip out the plastic!

How long does it take to get used to the smell when one is always stirring the sh**? And what is the best way to wash it off if you get some on you?

Well since Mike Scott has referred to me as everything but a Rat Turd, I may be able to help you out in the near future 'cause I think the Rat Turd epithet is inbound.

My biggest concern is that the referenced quote hurt the feelings of the Brethren on the V3 forum, 'cause they're convinced they have the best detector in the world. And this following an ecumenical message from DJ after the release of the V3. And now.......... Bam! Mike Scott dashes their hopes with a forceful statement obviating their V3's. Oh the humanity!

So Left-tenant Brad when do you think you'll be promoted to a level 3? My understanding is that First Texas has great hopes for you. But be careful:nono:, you could join Buck Private Ladd in the Brig with a simple slip of the tongue. Take care, the walls have ears.

P.S. Thanks....I haven't had this much fun since before the release of the F machines.

Dude, you are a trip!!!! The dust on my face from yesterday's late hunt is turning into mud clods from tears rolling down my face!!! Thanks man, I needed that. And the unintentional indirect reminder that I really need a shower is helpful too. I missed all the V-Tres interplay. I knew I shoulda kept reading the traffic over there. So is it OK to start calling you R.T. instead of BB? Since I could be referred to as a BB also, that might be less confusing.

I would opt for the F 75. I currently have both and in a few side by side tests, in my ground, the F 75 (seems) to get a little more depth. Both will hit my a 9" slanted dime, but my F 75 does so harder. Consequently, if each new LTD gets the same improved depth, then the F 75 LTD seemingly will get me a little more depth. HH jim tn

Yes but was the T2 LTD released just before the F75 LTD??
Even a day would technically make the statement that it was the best detector ever made. It will out-hunt any other detector true!!
Maybe for only a day though!!

Very good question though, can some of you experts give a good answer on the advantages/disadvantages of how the two stack up side by side as i will be getting one or the other.

Thanks, Take care.

The T2 does a little better job on coins. In old farm House settings the F75 does a little better. I think I would go for the T2 LTD, and have an F75 LTD soon after.. Either way..I think you will have a winning detector...

Well since both detectors are scheduled for release about the same time, and because Mike Scott was aware that both detectors would be released about the same time, I can only take him at his word that the T2 LTD is the better unit. But what does he mean by best? Best value, best depth, best target ID, best ergonomics, best battery life, best separation, best in iron. There's always a way out.

yeah! and plastic your gonna need at these prices!..quality costs!...."ass,gas,or grass!"..."nobody rides for free!"

(h.h!)

I have read that the t2 is not as deep as the F75 and I like the backlight but I know the F75 has better iron disc do if I really dug CW stuff I may get the T2 but for me the F75 is what I liked best and I had the T2..

Well from what I have read from Nasa Tom he thinks the F75 is the best but he does not live in an area with clay or high Minerals

and that is when Mike said that, there might not have been an F-75 proto available yet so maybe that's changed now. Hmmmmm. Ahh.... I'm just messin' witchall! Chevy/GM...Ford/Mercury......makes for endless hours of fun debate and speculation.

In my soil when hunting old parks the T2 does a better job of not hitting rusty bottle caps. Or iron targets.

The F75 eats up the iron, and caps, no matter what I do..At old farm sights I like the iron hits for the farm relics.( Which is about the only relics we have here) No war relics.

I am able to seperate the good from the bad better with the T2 ....Even though the F75 is fast..and I mean real fast so is the T2. I find more old Wheaties with the T2 on every sight I have ever tried both detectors. I always find Wheats with the T2 that did not hit on the F75 when I used it first at a park sight or house. That being said the F75 hits the Silver a bit harder, but, over all, the 2 works better for me here.
I dig less junk and find more good keepers.........Depth seems about the same on most places I have used both. Both are great machines and I love them..
But I stand behind my statement the T2 is the best coin hunter I have ever used in all around areas.

Does the sunray probe work on the T2?
Another reason to lean towards the F75

That's one reason I would possibly lean towards the F75 Ltd, as I already have the sunray probe and all four coils (so really don't need the extra 5" coil included in the package). Hopefully after the holidays they'll make these in the traditional black color (cammo isn't really my thing) and drop the 5" DD and incidentally also drop the price $150! to account for the coil.

I suspect a lot of folks that already have the T2 or F75 would be wanting to upgrade if these Ltds prove to be worthy of the $$$$, and they probably already have a plethora of coils, so no need for a redundant coil.

I may be wrong but what I took from Mike Scott's comment is that for the detecting he was doing at that specific location and for the specific targets he was looking for that the broader range of iron descrimination (40 points) of the T2 made it a better solution than the F-75 for that specific type of condition and targets.

As I understand it the higher resolution in the iron range allowed him to more easily determine good/bad targets all within the iron range. Hope I'm not off base on my interpertation and this info helps someone! If I am, please ignore.

Regards,

Keith
