:twodetecting:can you get a control box cover for whites classic111 info?

Howdy oldbob55

I don't know about factory covers, but i made my own for the IDX PRO. Since the black control box is first thing on the detector to touch the ground, I went down to my local shoe repair shop and bought some black leather to fit the underside and up the side, around the control knobs, and over the speaker. I then bought some leather shoe laces to secure it to the detector. The whole sheebang only cost about 10 bucks. Hope this helps. This setup is not waterproof. HH..............Hombre

Hombre do you have a picture? It would be the same for my IDX or MXT. Rob

Howdy Rob

I can't get a picture right away, my son owns the the camera that was used in my only post with pictures titled "Old homestead Treasures From the Land of Oz ". I can explain in less than one thousand words I think. First measure the length of the box, you want it longer by about 1/4 in. on both ends. Second it needs to come up the sides of the box where it wraps over the top of the box by 1/4 in. to protect the top of the box, but clears the control knobs. Third you make it wide enough to wrap up over the speaker, but does not cover the knobs. Buy leather shoe laces the same color as the box covering ( mine is black) and wrap around each end of box ( one at the top of knobs and one behind the threshold knob at battery end ). That's it in a nutshell, i'm the nut!!! HH................Hombre
