Today i went in town, to shop at cub foods, found my favorite rice from the east , three ladys jasmine rice , then i stoped at the place whear the snow is dumped in the winter from off all the parking lots but the rag weed was so bad, my coil turned yellow whith pollin so i have alergys so i went back and found a new park in old cambridge they had dug something up in the park about 20ft by 20 ftand lots of old soil was exposed found 2quarters 2 nickles one dime and two wheat cents one was 1953 and the other 1947 so im happy whith that then i went home and set gopher traps boy are they digging still have to dig up my quarter to see if its turning green

I'm not so sure a quarter will turn green, maybe crappy brown
But I know Silver gets a little darker sometimes here but still looks like Silver. Only coins I have found that turned green was large Cents and old wheaties.but hey what do I know I have never buried a coin anywhere but here.Let me or rather us know if it turned green. You did say you buried a Silver Quarter Right????

Congrats on the Wheaties Sir

Big Big CONGRATULATIONS Gunnar on the two wheats. That's fantastic and so exciting when you find something old. Way to go guy!!!! Who knows, there could be more oldies there. Usually if you find wheats, there's silver lurking. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey Gunnar..Try a pc. of Silver it will still look and respond like Silver..That clad quarter will most likely read like a quarter but will turn brownish after a long period in the ground. So you may get a little so called halo effect as it leaches out from the quarter..I am not sure if Siver leaches or not..Most pcs. I have dug looked like they may have looked when they went missing....Keep us posted I would like to know.
