I'm trying to get as much hunting in as any day now we will surely get that white stuff. Hunted for most of the afternoon and lucked out with a 1919 Fishscale and a 1919 Wheat Cent. I doubt very much that I could duplicate those dates with those coins again. Also got a ??? caliber bullet, with about 1/3 of it hollow. Any explanation?

Yeah John! when the powder charge is set off the pressure expands that hollowed out skirt and it acts like a gas seal. Those ol boys were pretty sharp back in those days!
so far my oldest coin is a 1924 Merc. Can't seem to get past that? what's your oldest coin?
