Two Tone Ferrous on CTX3030 Help Please

Hi All

On my Etrac I find this a valuable program. Can somebody please enlighten me as to how achieve the same settings on my CTX3030.

To emulate the Etrac's TTF on the CTX, set up with a Tone ID Profile for 2 FE (two ferrous tones). Then resize the two ferrous sections of that profile. This can be found on pages 36 and 37 of the manual. HH Randy

I had great success with TT F with the E-Trac but why not use a combined with iron set at 24 or 25 and have 4 tones set the way you want and run wide open in first pattern and a bit of de scrim in Second pattern?

Gotta go with AJ. However, I use combined with 4 co. 1 fe.. It's what works for me but you can set the tones up
exactly like you had on the Etrac. Just experiment with it until you find what you want. Digger was spot on with
his suggestion.

I agree. TTF was good to me on the ETrac as well. As you mentioned, being able to move the FE line is a huge benefit when setting up Patterns. Like you, I set one Pattern with "adequate" discrimination, and switch to the second Pattern with minimal discrimination. And I also use the soft pad for switching to a completely different hunt mode (previous mode). Being able to switch modes and having two Patterns in each mode is like having four programs available at the touch of a button (or two). When you toss in Combined audio, it is hard to beat. I HERE YOU BUDDY

i like setting different tones and modes maybe 5-7 of them and then i take the best 5 . i am playing around with combined now one in FC

and one in HT DIFF. LEVELS of tone setting and it seems endless 2tone F has also been good to me. my biggest problem is i cant stop

trying diff. setups. but this is the only way to get the most from the BAD BOY CTX!!!
