hello all. here are my recoveries from last sunday and today. it's been HOT and very humid! a really nice plain shield eagle button came as a nice surprise, having found one the day before also. the roller buckle is a nice one. some nice flatbuttons, an american button co. backmarked great seal button, [made from 1902 to 1920] a sear's overall button, and a 1946 cent and 1940 nickel pretty much round out the mix. a few sharps, a couple of three ringers, and a spencer or two are always good to find too. i'm not sure what the semi - circular brass thing is. it could be a part of a watering bit like frank suggested. the half - bullet in the 2nd pic is mysterious too. it's definetly an oddball.
we sure do find things in the oddest of places sometimes, don't we? the great seal button was found in a fencerow out in the middle of a cow pasture. hmmm. well, i had lots of fun anyways. it's kinda rough having to move around with all the plantings going on. we're gonna keep on gettin' it, though! thanks for looking, and hh!
