Two Silver Halves Plus:

We were both bumbed out and needed to clear our minds. We were going to buy a motorcycle but they couldn't find the title. So we went detecting. My first hit was a a Wheat, then after that it was silver,bang bang bang..... I came home with 6 Wheaats and 2 Mercs both a 1942, a quarter 1945 and two halves 1917-S and 1945. Turned out to be a great hour and a half hunting. Gotta love those old private yards.

Oh they were very pretty. Specially when I saw the large rims of the silver halves each time. This makes for a total of 12 Silver coins from the yard. And we've got many many hours of hunting to do still. It's a large corner lot.

Very very nice Silver coins! Those halves are special. That would be so nice to have a spot like that to hunt that is close to home and is a proven silver producer! You are lucky indeed! Keep up the good work!

PS I found a nice little pewter terrapin (turtle) pin on Sunday afternoon in a soccer field. It is marked 1993, and has been in the ground a good long while from the looks of it. It is cleaning up nicely though. This was my birthday weekend, so I didn't get much of a chance to go metal detecting.

I honestly don't remember, but thinking it was an 88-89. When the MXT sounded off big and loud, I dug!!!!!
