Two Silver Day...

My son came home from school today and said "Dad, does this quarter look funny?" He handed me a 1963 quarter. I asked where he got it and he said the lunch lady gave it to him. Then I looked at the other coin he was holding and it was a 1945! I told him next time tell the lunch lady you need $10 in quarters!!

This is the second week in a row that there was silver in pocket change in my house! Last week I got a 1963 Rosie. It had been more than 5 years since getting silver in change, and then three coins in two weeks.

I am actually having a better year in pocket change than I am metal detecting!

2008 Totals:
Metal Detecting=2 silver Rosies
Pocket Change=1 silver Rosie and 2 silver Quarters!!

That's a good score. My mom gave me a 1936 Merc dime she got in change today. Silver for everyone.
