1) where do most of you run gain? i've been running at 8 or 9 and relying on the depth meter to decide whether to dig or not. (i rarely pass up a coin tone though - can't force myself to do it...)
2) do any of you use audio 1 or audio 2? if so, what advantages do you see?
thanks & hh to all.

I seldom raise my gain over 7.. too much gain and too much falsing.. in iron I usually run 5 or 6.. can pretty much tell how deep a target is by volume but glance at the meter sometimes as small high conductive stuff(small copper washers, 22 bullets, etc) that reads loud with lower gain will show deep on the meter as well as pinpoint small and that helps in parks and yards on passing it up.. If everything has the same volume then that bit of info cant be used

Getting a deep very faint high tone is as much fun as digging it up and adds to the anticipation <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
