Two Questions about AT PRO

Coinseeker 78

New member
I own the AT PRO and love it. I have found silver coins, Gold jewelry, Historical artifacts, Silver rings with stones and without. There is a couple of questions I have about the detector that I would like the answer to. One is,why does the owners manual suggest you swing the coil above the soil instead of scrubbing it. Also, when using discrimination do you get scratchy audio unless it is a strong coin or artifact signal? thanks in advance.

I like having the coil lightly on the ground as much as possible. As for the discrimination, I run Pro mode, iron disc at 35, iron audio off, and no notch disc. I like the smoothness of no notch disc, and with the iron taken care of I don't mind listening to all the other signals...

Only reasons to not scub with coil that i been told, one is i in high mineral soil and 1 inch of the ground takes away a lot of ground noise. Two the terrain i am on would tear the coil to pieces in a few months. But when on nice green lawns in a park, which is rare for me, i do swing the coil touching the grass without a hassle
