We have been to an old ghost town by the name of Waiuta, this town was the site of New Zealands deepest goldmine all closed now of course but the place is still full of old abandoned homes and lots of old minning relics etc, also we went to a camper van rally at another old town called Blackball. Also an old gold and coal minning town, were we were camping is on the old sports field and as soon as the rally was over we started to detect the paddocks, the results are in the pictures lots of old pennys and sixpences also threepences etc

Got to love the pocket spills !!! WTG!!!

Yip there is 19 silver coins, they include three pences ,sixpences and two shillings. There are a lot of places around this part of the country that have never been touched, lots of old abandoned farms and homesteads,at the moment we are in the westcoast and travelling south through the old gold mining areas.

Excellent finds - looks like you had a great time !

Looks like a really cool spot to hunt and those are some excellent finds! Looks like you did your research and it is paying off. I look forward to seeing what else you pull out of there. Thanks for sharing. HH -Marc
