Two or three nice digs when least expected.......

Went snooping for arrowheads and searched for a spot in a rather large farm field where an old cabin supposedly once stood. We had to scan this field from ground level to notice any elevation at all. As most or all of you well know, the earlier homesites were always constructed on the lands highest point to allow runoff for the rains. Anyways, we did notice a very slight rise in the terrain and decided to give this area a whirl. The odd piece of early pottery was visible but no where near the amount we were hoping to have seen. We start swinging our coils and within minutes I receive a beautiful signal. Can't be, I'm thinkin' ? Boy, was I wrong ! An 1854 seated half-dollar in great shape. Pulled two other decent pieces from this area also. It's getting planted this week but the prospects for this area after harvest give it a four-star rating on our list of places to revisit. Here's my grabs for this hunt.....thanks for viewing.:)
