I found both of these at the school across the street from me about a week apart. The crucifix was about two inches down and is made of pewter. I couldn't believe one of my next finds a week later. When I got a silver hit shown about two inches down I turned over the sod and saw a bolt. I picked it up and almost threw it away and saw a little hole under the head of it. Curious why, I decided to look a little closer and saw an inscription on it that says " John 3:16". It looks like a necklace that is suppose to symbolize one of the spikes used in the crucifixion of Jesus. It looks as though a lawn mower must have got the tip of it but I don't mind. It may change it's appearance but it can't change it's meaning.

Welcome to the forum starnscot and those are really nice finds! I had never seen the one with John 3:16 on it like a spike driven through Jesus' hands and feet! I like it and the other cross and also the rings and the Sac $......the one ring with the funny writing on it is from the Lord of the Rings and I found one also! Thought I had something really great!!
 until I was brought down to earth by those who told me what I had found! Oh well, win some and lose some! Still an oddity find! :)

Hope you post often and find more coins and relics to post pics of on here, as we enjoy seeing what others find! :clapping:

God Bless!

Mine wasn't Joe.....just a play ring from those advertising the movie of Lord of the Rings! What do ya mean by: Don't put "precious" on? That does not compute with me!

God Bless!
