two more questions for Mr. Bill

First off I'd like to thank you for taking the time to answer the posts on these forums, I don't know where you find the time. And I hope you are well and as the seasons approach I wish you the best.
Now my questions;
1. Does the Ground Balance control on the F4 only affect the pinpoint mode with the other two modes being fixed GB, or does Ground Balancing affect all three? this is something I have never been able to figure out with my 3300s.
2. In laymans terms, what is the difference if any between "true all metal" and "zero discrimination", aren't they the same thing?
Thanks again, Mike T

Hi Mike

The ground balance affects all modes on the F-4.

With the F-4, true all metal with threshold audio is in a auto tune mode. Meaning the circuit re-sets it

You wrote.....this is something I have never been able to figure out with my 3300s.

The GB affects all Modes on the 3300 too. The right GB really helps to get more inground depth compared to the preset setting.
I get the best depth using the All Metal Mode on the 3300.

HH,
Andy
