Two more firsts...A Merry Widow tin and a big ole Tootsie

First Merry Widow tin, first one in good enough shape to tell what it is, anyway.
The complete tin top and bottom, a little bent up but cool.

What I really love is today's prize this Olds convertible Tootsie toy.
This thing is in some kind of great condition, found in the woods but barely buried just under some leaves and a bit of soil.
Made in the USA in the early 60's so about 50 years old and way cool because it is one of the big ones...almost 6" long.
I should be in such good shape.

One day I might just scrub it down and repaint the thing for the display case, but is has some nice character just the way it is now.
We'll see.

I dont think those MW's condoms were employed or distributed up here, I've never yet found one...anybody ever found that Merry Widows condom tin in MI or WI, or is this a 'southern' thing? This area was settled by the Dutch, Swedes, Fins, Germans and other fur bearing critters, all of which are known for their frugality, work ethic, maloderousness, and general lack of 'game'..plus, theres not many good nights of warm weather that would assist a fellow thusly inclined for 'kicking it old school' with a willing and available lass out in the apple orchard...

After all, who needs condoms when you got a decent pair of fur mittens? :lmfao:

Both cool finds. Still seeking my first Merry Widow tin!
