Two Milestones!

Another nice day, and the first time I've hunted two days in a row in quite some time. Here's the clad, a few wheats, a rusty handmade nail, and a tag of some kind.

Yes, I track my clad. For those of you who ask yourself why, I ask you, "Why aren't you?" This is the third year in a row I've hit what I consider THE milestone for clad in a year. 10,000 coins. A nickel which is a bit unusual. (Most of my milestone coins seem to be dimes.)

Second milestone of the day was my 100th silver coin with my GTI 2500. It took a long time. Three years. In my defense, in 2008 I still didn't know what I was doing and I had yet to discover my 12.5 inch coil which really sniffs out the silver. The dime is 100 the War Nickel is 101. Only 99 from 200. See me around Fall 2012.

Here is a cool silver find. A frame of some sort, marked .925. If you look closely, you will see the picture is of a man in a suit in tie (center) standing behind a kid (left) with a cap on sideways. The junk ring is pretty and was my last dig of the day.

Nice weather. Fun day. Good loot.

Thanks for looking.

:usaflag:Congrats....love the silver.

You are smoking :smoke: with that GTI 2500. For silver being as difficult to find these days, you sure did well. A good example of what happens when you really learn your machine well. And that older photo in the frame is a cool find. keep them coming......:detecting:
