Hello everyone last week i found two little coins ( i think) with ctx 3030! Maybe there buttons i dont know , it says Louis xviii!! What do you think they are? Thanks

Pictures of the backs might be a help.

Interesting.. a very poor counterfit perhaps?

Ha, Like I said it could have been a very poor counterfeit...

Could be 18th century gaming tokens? Though they are typically 2-sided, there are 1-sided varieties out there. They were similar to actual coinage of the day, but with differences as to not run afoul of the counterfeiting laws.

I don't know what they are....but I don't believe they are coins. In addition to these only being "one-sided", I think that all Louis XVIII coins have "De France" on the obverse. The most interesting thing to me is the small Maltese Cross on his lapel, likely representing the Order of the Holy Spirit. Louis XVIII was the restored Bourbon King of France from 1814 - 1824. During the French Revolution the Order of the Holy Spirit was officially abolished by the French government, although the exiled Louis XVIII continued to acknowledge it. There are a few coins minted with a similar cross on his lapel. But the detail on these do look as if they could be counterfeit "something or others". I've read that they had small brass tokens similar to this for use in children's board games. JMO
