Two like relics found a few miles apart, Can anyone ID them.

Old California

New member
Saturday, I dug up a relic that I have found once before and funny thing it was dug from a nearby site very similar to the adobe site we detected last week.

Anyone have an idea what they may be? They are identical only one has the connected shaft broken off, Looks like it was pressed into wood or musket stock?

Would appreciate any and all comments on these like finds,

Thanks,
Paul (Ca.)

This is just a dumb guess. It looks like it is a snap. The center prong is shaped like it is to be snapped into something and taken out again.

Thanks John,

After reading others replies from a few sites I had posted these two relics they appear to be a Concho with a snap type setup, So you're right it is a snap and the slot is used to fasten a leather strap too.

I appreciate your reply John, Thanks again!
