Today I tooks my g2 out. It has been collecting dust for the last month due to the fact I just got a new outlaw and a Omega 8000.
I just sent my omega off in a trade deal for an xp deus. The detectors I had to choose from is the outlaw and the g2. I grabed the g2 today and the ultimate coil.
I figured its been awhile and the g2 always gets me gold when I haven't used it for awhile, just to make me remember why I love it. I hit a baseball field by my house cause I only had about an hour to hunt. I found the usual clad a pocket Knife and a couple of pins. Barley any trash. This field is clean cause ive been hammering it with the outlaw and the cleansweep coil... Times up I start my swings towards the parking lot to pack it up. Beep beep I get a 68 vid on my detector and I say out loud there's my gold ring signal. Every gold ring I have got with the g2 has been either a 63vid or a 68vid. I got excited cause it sounded sweet. Plunged in my shovel and at 5 inches down there is gold . Its a 14kp ( wich means gold plumb I just learned, its exactly 14k) gold mens wedding band with 3 small diamonds. Boy o boy was I happy. First gold for 2013. I get up do the dance and continue my swings to the parking lot 6 feet away I get a very soft hit with a solid 91vid im thinking deep quarter. But no I dig up a nice old sterling silver ring. Awesome to rings in a row what are the odds . At this point I figured quit while im ahead. I shut it down and skipped to my jeep and leave . Hunt total 2 rings silver and gold , 3.85 in clad , a rusted knife and 8 pieces of trash tabs and foil balls . Hows that for a great 1 hour hunt?
