Yesterday. AT Pro back from shop. Out for a few hours. Silver War Nickel. Two wheats. Buffalo Nickel. Old silver pin marked: ".925 Fine Sterling." An unusual mark that makes me think its old. The site is old too and it was deep. An old timer came by and I showed him my digs. He was funny and when I told him I had found a silver coin he replied that a War nickel is not technically a silver coin. Yes, he was a coin collector! I told him in my book it's silver. Fun day.

Today I went out to another older site with the AT Pro again. Got skunked for silver but found a lot of clad as usual. Two wheats. Nifty cross that reads: "I am a Catholic. Please call a Priest." Still looking at the earring which I'll test to see if it's gold later. Hot and muggy. I'm beat.

Seems my May wasn't as good as old Grafes. Maybe June will be my month. Or July........................
