The weather this am is 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.

Big surf on the Lake Michigan shoreline will hopefully uncover something goldy or silvery. That green sifter is ideal for you coin tumblers out there and was a beach find earlier this season...yesterday afternoon I went to an inland lake protected from the gale force winds and picked up some older drops, including a wheat...it was 75 degrees, and I figured this may be the last chance to get in the water comfortably...one junk ring...should have been gold here or at least silver, well, those green coins and plenty of nickels tell me I'm on the right locations...Running Pro zero 40 disc, stock 11"dd, iron off....this big storm should give me a chance once it drops off a bit.

Does sound like you are on the right spot. Good job battling the wind.

Rain here this morning, so will work on the to do list. HH jim tn

Way to go Mud! Thanks for sharing. Looks like you're scratching the MD itch pretty good.
That front will be coming through here today and push the warm weather out. Time to get the wetsuits out bud. Got my homemade open-ended Hookah working, tried it in the pool but haven't been in the lake with it yet. A friend belongs to Ringfinders and said he got a call from someone who lost their ring in 8 feet of water next to a dock but he hasn't called yet. I'll keep you all posted.

Mud it looks like you're in the right place, you just need a little luck. It won't be long before you'll be detecting those sled hills and snow piles.

Summer is about gone and the weather is about to get right for us in the South to do some serious detecting.:detecting:

Definitely getting interesting and a delightful surprise is likely just around the corner.

Nice pile of clad Mud and those junk rings get me just as excited as the gold & silver. Like the little car you found, it looks like pure copper.
