Thanks for another inspiring video! I recently added an Excal II to the arsenal and can't wait to get a nickel signal and see some gold! HH!

I simply point my flip video camera at me and turn as I speak....it is a pretty cool effect!

Surfdigger, thanks for the video, and the music was the kind I like when drinking a few beers. GH, Don

Nice video as usual but i can't understand how someone can swing a sovereign or anything like that, watch closely and see how much ground is being missed 3-4steps between swings, no overlapping at all and by the time the coil gets back to the same side its about 3-4ft ahead of where the coil was on the previous swing, its the sort of swing of a person i like to follow, sorry if my remarks offends but if he learns to swing properly i would imagine the finds will increase.

I'll address that Kered.....a beach is not like hunting a park or a schoolyard....the areas that we hunt in the wetsand are usually huge and we find our targets in coinpatches alot of times.....that is one of the reasons that some of us use large coils for more coverage.....we work a loose W pattern until we find a concentration or "coin patch" if you will and then we slow down.....overlapping our swings just isn't practical when hunting such and immense area....our beaches change here almost weekly so finding a spot holding heavy targets is more of a time management issue then a systematic search issue....we find the concentrations and then we slow down and in some cases overlap.....I hope that has cleared that up for you....HH....Surfdigger

Good job Guy. :tesoro::nopity:

Nice job guys.

Slamming good video once again Brian.. always very informative too.. If we can learn one new thing every day then thats a major accomplishment.:thumbup:

Brian...I love it....we need more..!!

Not really, i don't hunt parks or schoolyards either and some of the beaches are huge, no way to cover them in a week. Even though they change daily, i use the W method too but as i'm traveling on each leg the swings are a lot closer and slower so deeper targets if there have a better posobility to be found, with those wide swings you could pass right through a spot with deepers not knowing anything was there. I then block them and using a gps for my tracks i can return the next time to where i left off.(works great in the water too where you can't see where youv'e been) each one to his own, it all comes down to what works for you in your area. Still nice to see different methods in action
HH

Great video Brian and well done as usual.
The tips and tricks you offer are a big help
for newbies and a good reminder for the pros.
