Two hour hunt...

I had a bad permission day and drove around until 10:30 or so. I ended up at a hunted out school site on township land. I have hunted this site with the standard coil, so I decided to try the Sun Ray 8" (my favorite coil). Glad I did since the top third of the site has electrical interference. Using the SR8, I was able to hunt most of the really noisy interference area. I would say half of the area was too noisy for the std. coil.

As soon as I started hunting I thought to myself, "Was that thunder?". It was, and it kept getting closer and closer. Finally the rain started and the lightning was too close.

I did manage these keepers and 8 wheat backs. The IH is really nice with full Liberty - maybe a $40 coin!

Cant go wrong with those kind of coins BF. A few weeks back i picked up an 1869 IH. That 10 year stretch of IHs are worth more than most silver. Great find.
