Had about two hours to hunt today and man was I lucky. One of the silver rings is a
monster in size and weight. Then about 5 WW2 buttons and a cross and Two wheat's from 1920-1930. Boy when you find a place you can hunt and it is all yours and you know that there are so many targets that are just waiting to be found...well makes me feel so blessed. Of course I was interupted by the law but when they found out I was a local and worked at the Pharmacy they gave me the red carpet treatment and told me anyone else they find detecting there will be run out of town, they told me they would protect my area. Wow is that great or what!

Sweet finds Lowboy, That silver ring rocks! I have had my F-75(my first coin machine) less than two weeks now. It is a little intimidating with all the info it gives you. I need to put my brain on steroids, it's quite different than my PI. So far I have only collected clad and hot wheels but I am having a blast learning this machine.
I did take it to the gold fields for a few hours one day. Tried it in JE mode per a post I had read somewhere but it was too unstable for this newbie, PF was much better but I really liked the all metal mode which is what I ran in finally. I didn't find any gold but I think this will be an exceptional machine for those really trashy areas where most electronic prospectors fear to tread. I got some lead targets from right next to ferrous ones. If there is lead left there is a chance nuggets are lurking nearby!

Just take you time and maybe find an area that is a little less full of targets. I use two plus tones and a disc of 0-5 and sens of 70-85 and fast grab using the pinpointer to find clean ground. I have had it for almost two years and I get better each time now and can take the noise. Thank for looking at my stuff you are not in Calif are you?

Yes, I am on a nugget hunting trip with my brother. We have been looking around Shasta and Siskiyou counties. When he returns to Oregon I plan on spending more time swinging my Fisher. Most places I go prospecting I find evidence of old miner cabins. I agree with you constant ground balancing is the key in N. Ca. as the last place I went I GB'ed from 66 to 89 within 50'.

Wish I could do that good with two hours.

well not everyday brings me such luck and skill but I will say the F75 really helps make it easy sometimes.
