Two Hour Hunt Today after work

Took the Sovereign XS for another hunt to explore the park.My goal today was to find older silver coins which is a possibility considering the old IH, wheat and nickles I've found here in the last two weeks.No silver,but of the 24 coins 6 wheat's. The dates for the wheat pennies 1909,1920,1940,1944D,1946 and a 1953D.

I too got out with my GT to a old farmstead which I have been to before and never got anything but trash. I went real slow and listened real close and dug a 1921 merc, a 1904 V nickle and 3 Wheaties ( a 1920, 1942 and a 1914 and possibly a 14D) that were from 9 to 12 inches deep. When i want to get serious about detecting the Sovereign is the one I will use.
Also Ron I got your PM, but haven't got back to you yet as I don't have a used coil, but can get a new one if you want.

Rick,I found the 1909 penny about 8 inches down that was past over by my two friends using a(very good seasoned hunters) CZ70 and a DFX.The Sovereign had the smaller coil the Tornado 800.The Sovereign is a very easy unit to use.I'm glad I gave the Sovereign another try,which before that I could never understand why anyone would use this detector.
