I realize this may be old hat for some of you but today I found my first silver! A 1944 quarter. Also, I found a 1952 "Pice", a coin from Pakistan. I apologize for the quality of the photo...if you are able to zoom in you can see the coin better. When I dug it I thought it was just a washer, but thanks to Google, I learned they were minted from the late 40's to the early 50's.

Both are great finds and we ALL were first timers once upon a day. Congratulations.
 
You will remember your first silver coin. It only happens once.
