Two ear rings today in less than two hours total time

Went to a play ground for less than hour this morning and got the fake diamond ear ring. Left because it was hot. Went to another play ground just before dark after the sun went down and found the other one. It may be silver. It has the number 9 on the inside but the rest of it broke off. Found part of another ear ring. The part that clamps on the ear. It is gold in color.

With the number of good pieces you've already found I think you're soon to find some serious jewelry.

Looks like you're doing everything right and you're putting in the time hunting. And you have a great machine.

I'm looking forward to seeing your first diamond ring but I'm hoping I get one first. :poke:

Keep doing what you're doing cause it's working.

I have an advantage over a lot of folks.

I'm retired and my wife passed away a few wears ago, my kids are getting older and and I have the time to go to a site and not worry too much except about what I'm doing.

I quit metal detecting about 22 years ago because of the demands of family life.

Now I feel very fortunate to be able to have a metal detector that works as well as my Cibola.

I've always wanted to find jewelry but had tow things working against me.

1: I didn't know how. ( Monte is helping immensely with that )

2: I didn't have a metal detector that could find small gold. ( Wane Jenkins at Metal detectors R Us and Tesoro helped with that )

Now I'm cocked and ready learn more and find gold and diamonds or any preshious jewlery.

My first metal detector more than payed for it self in old coins. Old coins are much harder to find now days. I feel that if I can actually make any kind of profit from metal detecting that it would add to the enjoyment. Regardless of profit I'll keep MDing as long as I can.

Hope you get some good finds

For me, the main thing is as long as I'm having fun. The bonus is older coin, relics, and jewelery. Sometimes I get enough clad for a drink and/or a snack or newspaper. Any worthwhile jewelery the wife takes - and fast to. I like my old horse shoes hanging in the backyard..
Now that the rain season is just getting to a start, the detecting season is just starting for me. I nabbed a few new machines since last season and hope the jewelery department picks up along with everything else.

Some one will ask me what I've found and the best fun is when I pull out aluminum, nails and weard trash and I tell them some thing like "what I'm gonna do when I get rich off of this stuff I just found". I can usually get a big laugh, exceptance, and start up a good conversation. Then it's us in the park, rather than the guy with the metal detector and the other people.
