Two detectors for Relic Hunting?

Does anyone on here hunt with a lightweight ID machine to try and locate a site, then switch over to a deeper all metal, heavier, machine to hunt out as much of the site as they can find? I have an X-terra 705 and with the 3khz coil this thing is decent at separation and ID, but kind of stinks at depth. I'm thinking of supplementing it with a Tejon and I'll hunt with the Tejon in an established area where I'm gonna dig everything anyway and use the X-terra for general searching (establishing camp locations) and coin hunting.
