The X-Terra-70 with the 10.5 DD 7.5KHz Coil continues to amaze me. Wednesday I searched an area where two old homes had been torn down. At 10" I had a sharp 42 target. At about 9" I recovered a brass medallion with Earth Angle on the front and an Angle on the back. Its going on my key ring as a "good luck" piece. A solid 32 target at 7" was a 1905 IH (my first), Two additional targets, at about 7" turned out to be a 1914 wheatie and a 1923 wheatie.

Today I spent little over an hour hunting the area where I recovered a large brass button several weeks ago. My first target was a very solid 44 at 10+ inches. I measured at 10" and the target was still showing 4" down. At about 13" I recovered a 1920 Walking Liberty Half-Dollar (again my first). My fourth target at 9" was a 64 Silver quarter.

Got to love it..................thanks for looking. HH TomB:detecting:

Cool finds keep it up and you'll have a great collection in no time! Grant

Grant..I reside in southwest Virginia. The ground in this part of the state holds large quantise of iron ore. The X-70 works like it's not there. As far a depth the standard coil 7.5KHz and the 10.5 DD 7.50KHz both have recovered coins to 10". The walking liberty was recovered at 13" measured. And yes when that walking liberty half-dollar popped out of the ground...my blood pressure went up 10 points...lol..I have yet to find my first GOLD item.

Yeah I've hunted the AZ Goldfields ( white hills) do I'm used to it. and this park I detect now was a river at one point so you have the black sand mixed with iron ore and Pt's Nails Every depth and size I'd say one a foot at least I'm used to it but I think I got the settings down found the 1929 wheatie Around 5's with 2 PT'S and three nails within 3"s of the wheatie some nails were on top of The coin!
